FÜLÖP HILL AND LAJOSKOMÁROM

Fülöp Hill, located just across from the guesthouse, offers a pleasant hiking route and is one of the village’s most treasured landmarks. It was named after Prince Fülöp Batthyány, who once owned the area.

The vineyard spans 27.6 hectares, with 220 wine cellars. Local winemakers mainly produce white wine (80% – Olaszrizling, Zenit) and red wine (20% – Kékfrankos, Zweigelt, Otelló). In 1891, the western side of the hill was planted with mulberry trees to support silk production. Today, it remains one of the longest continuous rows of mulberry trees in Hungary.

The vineyard area can now be easily explored on foot or by bicycle (2.5 km circuit). Our guest house offers 5 bicycles free of charge for discovering the area. Please ask for the bicycle keys at reception!
